San Francisco Symphony!

This past weekend I attended a free outdoor concert of the San Francisco Symphony. Its an annual gig that they do at Dolores park in the city, and this year they were performing a concert of music from Mexican composers honoring Mexico's bicentennial. It was an awesome park, awesome day, and awesome concert. Here are some pictures.

The park was located in a really sweet area of San Francisco. This building is called, 'the women's building'.

Seems like there is only a few people around first getting into the park, oh, but wait.

Yea, it was huge. And the symphony was extraordinary. Along with playing some famous songs by Mexican composers, they also played all of Dvorak's New World Symphony. Awesome! It's one of the few, if only, symphony's that I have played, so it has a very close place to my heart. I tried making a little video of the performance. Its poor quality, but its a clip from the final movement of the piece, so in that way, its awesome. Here it is

All in all, a great sunday afternoon. Got to hang out in San Francisco, go to a free outdoor concert, and hear one of the best symphony's in the country. Excellent.

The joint attention work is proceeding finely, after having a preliminary discussion over the procedural complications involved in the lab's upcoming study (a part of which involves the JVA, joint visual attention, paradigm) which I'll be helping to plan for the rest of my time here. I'll keep you posted.
